Planning is now to return to ILFC:
- 1x 767 in nov06
- 2x 767 in jan07
- 2x 767 in mar07
So before the end of march 2007 the KLM Boeing 767 is history....
No next operator known yet. Each aircraft will stop commercial operation about 4 weeks before return to ILFC.
If i'm correct it's a Swedish company.akarssen wrote:Who is Air Express? European Air Express EAE??=> PH-OFL is currently operated by Air Express.
Don't quite know what the current status is, regarding that idea.mr. V wrote:Guess that means they'll be hanging on their own F70s and F100s for a while, so they won't be coming to KLM in the near future?akarssen wrote: Air Regional recently acquired two exEU Jet Fokker 100s:

Correct. As I understand it, Cityhopper are a bit short on crews. However they can't hire in pilots to cover the shortage until they manage to train more, because they would run afoul of the unions. So they dry lease the aircraft to Air Express, and then wet lease it back. Hey presto, problem solved!cHabu wrote: If i'm correct it's a Swedish company.
Thanks all for the info; it's a clever solution indeed. Any idea when they will have sufficient crew?flying_kiwi wrote:Correct. As I understand it, Cityhopper are a bit short on crews.
