Re: Ramstein Flag 2025
Thanks to Key.aero;
NATO's Allied Air Command (AIRCOM), in collaboration with the Royal Netherlands Air Force (RNLAF), will conduct Exercise Ramstein Flag 2025 (RAFL25) from March 31 to April 11, 2025.
This large-scale tactical live-fly exercise will involve over 90 aircraft taking part from 12 air bases. An AIRCOM spokesperson told Key.Aero: "The Royal Netherlands Air Force's air bases of Leeuwarden and Eindhoven will be the centres of gravity for the exercise, but not necessarily the 'main bases' of the exercise. Distributed operations is more akin to a network-based mindset, in which redundancy is inherent to cohesive air operations across the spectrum of activities; no one node is more important than the other. Distributing air operations across various locations across NATO requires speed, flexibility, and adaptability, and that is what we strive to exercise during Ramstein Flag 2025." According to AIRCOM the countries participating with aircraft are: Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States and The Netherlands. NATO’s E-3A AWACS and Airbus A330 Multi Role Tanker Transports are also scheduled to take part.

Re: Ramstein Flag 2025

Re: Ramstein Flag 2025
The RNLAF has revealed that the visiting aircraft using Leeuwarden will arrive the week before the exercise and around 40 aircraft will fly missions twice a day from the base. The air arm explained that exercise flying "will take place between 16:30hrs and 23:30hrs. On Fridays, this will be from 16:30hrs to 19:15hrs. There will be no flying in the mornings and at the weekend.”
