Re: NELLIS AFB (LSV/KLSV) - 2025
The composition of the -1 Flags is fairly consistent, so I’d expect USN and RAAF Growlers, USAF Sentry, RJ, tankers and HC-130, and Aussie Wedgetail.
These exercises also seem to switch to Bamboo Eagle in week 3, so units may well disperse for that.

Saw a RAF C-17 (ZZ174) pop into Nellis around 245pm EST today on ADS-B. I assume for the upcoming RF 25-1. Anyone seen anything new pop in the last few days?

Should be in support of the 6 Squadron Typhoons that will be departing Lossiemouth in the next few days.
A majority of the arrivals will trickle in next week.

Ok cool. So i guess its set in stone that 25-1 starts on the 27th like normal? I know last year it was a week earlier due to Bamboo Eagle (think that was the name)idrivethechoochoo wrote: ↑15 Jan 2025, 17:52Should be in support of the 6 Squadron Typhoons that will be departing Lossiemouth in the next few days.

It started early last year due to the Super Bowl being in Vegas and inability to secure lodging for participating units.
Bamboo Eagle has seemingly replaced the third week of Red Flag -1.

Looks like that E-2D was (or still is) attached to VAW-120 out in Norfolk. But could be a transfer bird

Probably another flight is inbound. ASY407 (A39-005) is almost at PHNL.

I believe there should be six in total from the 1st Squadron to go with the six F-35's from 77 Sqn.GoldenPlane wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025, 06:12 Probably another flight is inbound. ASY407 (A39-005) is almost at PHNL.
The E-7 ought to be making the trek soon as well.

Do you or anyone know if 1st Squadron still has the black tail show bird by chance? That would be a nice catch!idrivethechoochoo wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025, 19:13I believe there should be six in total from the 1st Squadron to go with the six F-35's from 77 Sqn.GoldenPlane wrote: ↑19 Jan 2025, 06:12 Probably another flight is inbound.
