The articles says 'Both members of the mishap flight were instructor pilots; they were both current and qualified to fly the T-38C and the planned mission.'
But the number of occupants was only one
Apparently they refer to the pilot of a second aircraft since it was a 2-ship flight ![Wink ;-)](./images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
