In the early afternoon of today,
an accident occurred at the aircraft station of the Navy in Grottaglie (TA), involving an MH-90 helicopter of the Fourth Helicopter Group.

The aircraft, which was scheduled for a training mission,
overturned on its side during pre-take-off checks inside the parking area.

Initial reports suggest that the rollover occurred in the stages after the turbo-engines were started,
however, the exact causes of the accident are still unknown.

Fortunately, none of the crew,
technical team or other personnel
were on board the helicopter at the time of the accident,
thus avoiding potential injuries or human damage.
