Re: AIR DEFENDER 2023 SERIAL OVERVIEW.
+1! Well done!
Is it too much to ask to include the details of every last update? E.g: Italian F2000s added...

Still at Hohn, I think I read somewhere that it is "broken".
life is good, but a good life is better

Thanks a lot for the list Gijs!

Earlier today two civil Learjets arrived at Hohn, D-CARL and D-CGFO.

Re: Air Defender 2023 serial overview.
Anybody for the unit of the Typhoons at Hohn?
EDIT: to answer my own question: these should be from IX squadron.

The ones arrived from Amari arrived under Psycho callsign, which is 1sqn. And 1 sqn was anticipated. Neither carry marks though.patrick dirksen wrote: ↑12 Jun 2023, 21:18 Anybody for the unit of the Typhoons at Hohn?

Re: Air Defender 2023 serial overview.
Well, I don't know about callsigns, so no argument from me there. But multiple articles mention IX (B) squadron is the one doing Air Policing in Estonia currently. See for example https://mncne.nato.int/newsroom/news/20 ... in-estonia
So if these indeed came from Estonia, as was mentioned before, I expect them to be part of 9 squadron. They indeed don't carry squadron markings, although two of them have some kind of badgeon the tail. Hopefully I can have a closer look to that tomorrow.

Re: Air Defender 2023 serial overview.
Two came from Amari, the other two came from Akrotiri. Don't know which squadrons deploy where, but to me it seems the RAF is pooling their aircraft around quite easily (also the lack of markings makes that easier). The reason to send forward deployed jets (on QRA duties) back for an exercise like this also escapes my mind.

Patrick, the badge on tail of 2 of the Tiffies is some kind of NATO (air policing?) sticker.
Other than that they look as boring as the Finnish Hornets..
