Before the Ukrainan war the Monchegorsk air base hold two squadrons MiG-31 with around 24 aircraft.

Today the number of MiG-31 have been reduced to around 12 aircraft. One of these was stricken yesterday.

The number of Su-24 is reduced to some visiting deployed, around 4 aircraft Su-24M and Su-24MR.
