Defence: 2 aircraft on standby for evacuation of Dutch nationals from Sudan

The Netherlands is preparing two military aircraft to evacuate Dutch people from Sudan.
The country has been fighting for days and it is unsafe for foreigners.
Two Air Force Hercules aircraft are leaving for Jordan this evening to be able to quickly go to Sudan from there.
Now the situation in Sudan is too unsafe to evacuate people.
As soon as an evacuation is possible, the Dutch planes will leave.
An estimated fifty Dutch people are in the African country.
An evacuation attempt by Germany failed today because the situation on site is too unsafe.
