Top of previous page: 10x C-130... Still, the ramp is big enough I think...

In Wunstorf they have 30 A400 ramp spots. Normally only 13-18 of them are occupied. Additionally there are 6-8 other parking spots in the southeast part of the base and on the de-icing spots.

In a „worst case“ they can close and use runway 02/20 for parking.

A few more informations were told at a press conference in the German embassy in Washington today:

- more than 6 A-10 were planned for Lechfeld (10 or 12)
- some of the not (for the exercise) required Tornados will flown out from Jagel to save space
- the same could happen with parts of the Wunstorf A400M force
- GenLt Gerhartz still spoke about US tankers at Wunstorf (KC-46, KC-135 ??)

One not to Air Defender 2023 related info:

LtGen Michael A. Loh spoke about ANG F-35 visiting Austria/Zeltweg (?) for an exercise in the future.

You don't hear anything more from Geilenkirchen with the four USAF E-3, is that still up to date?

And that was based on TF104's entry in this topic. It was marked as a Rumor, which caused some confusion, i have deleted it a few weeks ago.

Obviously the Container village grew up at Kropp Barracks. So presumably not at Jagel Eastern approach, as earlier stated.

The presentation during last weeks media day in the USA showed a total of 54 ANG Fighters : 18 A-10's, 16 F-15C's, 14 F-16C's and 6 F-35A's.
If anyone has more info on which units will participate from which base (apart from the VT F35's which will still be at Spangdahlem) i would love to hear from you. ( i know GIPS listed units in February this year, but that has apparently been changed/ downgraded).

Anyone know what the role of Volkel is? It is mentioned as participating airbase. But is it just that the regular dutch jets participating in the exercise operate from their home base? Or is there a chance that other fighters would be deployed here?

Only local F-16’s and F-35’s will join from Volkel. No visitors expected.
