At its meeting on December 7, 2022,
the government of the Czech Republic approved important material on the participation of the armed forces of the Czech Republic in military exercises outside the territory of the Czech Republic and the participation of the armed forces of other states in military exercises on the territory of the Czech Republic in 2023. This document, submitted by the Minister of Defense, outlines the amount and form of training activities that await the AČR this year.

The exercise plan is compiled annually based on political-military priorities in four areas. It is about preparation for deployment in operations, preparation for participation in international groups of emergency forces, bilateral and regional cooperation plus important capacity building. Compared to the previous "covid" period, an overall increase in training activities has been recorded for 2023, and there will be a total of 145 exercises outside the territory of the Czech Republic, in which members of the Army of the Czech Republic participate, while 53 are to take place on the territory of our country exercises involving the armed forces of other countries.
SAR MEET 2023 – a meeting of helicopter operators included in the SAR system, which will take place in August or September at the Nordholz base in Germany. The aim of the meeting is to share experience and unify procedures for rescue operations within the SAR (Search and Rescue service). One Mi-17 helicopter and one W-3A Sokol from the 24th air transport base in Prague-Kbelyshould participate
FALCON LEAP 2023 – a traditional exercise of airborne troops in the Netherlands at the turn of September and October, which is also a reminder of the largest airborne operation in the history of Market Garden. Falcon Leap is aimed at developing skills in airborne landings and air operations, as well as practicing the execution and organization of parachute jumps and other tactical activities. Members of the 601st Special Forces Group from Prostějov are participating in the exercise on behalf of the Czech Army, supported by a CASA C-295M transport aircraft and a Mi-171Š helicopter .
