Not all the way to Japan? It was suggested they would go on TDY to Kadena to replace the local F-15s that were withdrawn back to CONUS some time late last year.

Some tail numbers were picked up yesterday when relayed to the tanker....
JEST 11- 080, JEST 15- 342
JEST 21 - 918, JEST 22 - 083, JEST 23 - 813, JEST 24 - 418, JEST 25 - 417, JEST 26 - 829

At least some of them reflect the flight plans

All seen from home yesterday north of Lincoln.

Are Jest and Rummy regular callsigns for Pacific deployments or so?

Never saw them before contrary to the familiar Retro, Clan, Zesty, Cube, Tabor, Trend, Mazda etc. callsigns used for Atlantic (only?) ferries.

And they have arrived by the way: https://tora82.exblog.jp/iv/detail/?s=2 ... 485187.jpg

RUMMY, not RUNNY

The RUMMY callsign has been recorded in Europe in recent weeks as well.

PINE is another CORONET WEST callsign used in the past, and may still be current.

since they left it´s fairly quiet here around Spang, mostly night flying for the f-16´s and of course the tanker ops.
