I would be interested to learn which name the MLA (Militaire Luchtvaart Autoriteit / Military Airworthiness Authority) has used to certify the aircraft & operation. In my view, that would be the only 'official' name.. But, of course, any operator can use whichever name they deem fit.

In this Parliamentary Paper, an official letter from the Minister of Defense from 2016, the A330MRTT is also mentioned.

KC-30M or A330MRTT or Tankvliegtuig, just call it whatever you want. I stick with KC-30M

The M as being an indication of the military version of the fictional civil KC-30?? Or M for Modernized? C'mon...
