This has been discussed in this forum before. It is NOT correct! KC-30M is only used by the RAAF.

Gerard, you still are not correct. The RAAF has KC-30A's not M.

A bit childish reaction. As a matter of fact the staffmember involved was the Deputy Chief of Operations, so yes you know better….. and keep dreaming.

Nice source you have, but I work at/with the MMU, (maybe in the kitchen). The official name is KC-30M, but some still call it by the name the factory gave it. The main user is Germany and they are used to call their tankers MRTT's so they stick to their old habits and call new ones also MRTT's. But the official name for the "Dutch" aircraft is KC-30M. A Viper is officially a Fighting Falcon and a Panther a Lightning 2.

'Factory name' wasn't KDC-10 either, yet that's what we all use, right? Same for SH-14D...Alpha Kilo One wrote: ↑20 Aug 2022, 21:32 You can give it any name you want, but the official factory name isn't KC-30M.
So stick to your old fashioned way, I don't care ...
Sorry for being rude, but there is no medicine to stubborn people.
Where you work is not the clue to the official answer
