Mutxamel (LEMU), Spain
Due to massive forest fires, there is a lot of activity at this small airfield. To me it was a great surprise to see 3 different KAMOV's flying.
Aren't they part of the ban on Russian assets ?

Re: Metxamel (LEMU), Spain
They are Spanish assets, aren't they? Importing them now would be a problem but EC-JGX is with HeliSurEste since 2005 already.
Thanks for the log, that was a nice l/n.

These Ka.32s were seen Nov 30:
EC-JAL / KZ-2
EC-JXG / KZ-2 (sic)
........./ KZ-3
........./ KZ-5
EC-JGX / KZ-6
EC-JVA / KZ-7
plus 1 more.
All were in storage.
And, afaik, EASA suspended the Ka32 Type Certificate on March 24 this year..

Normally everything outside is visible either from the Aeroclub or looking between the Babcock hangars.
Please correct the topic title; the town is called Mutxamel (in Valenciana) or Muchamiel (Castellan).

Re: Mutxamel (LEMU), Spain
It's not a Kamov beauty pageant, I'm afraid. They are all partially covered in tarpaulins. Rotors, and rotor masts, have been removed, except for EC-JVA and EC-JXG. Aeroclub is fine, though various other helicopters are in the way, but in the end I went to the opposite side of the strip and walked up the embankment. This is (mostly) private property, so check.
Happy hunting.

Yesterday I saw one (of the above?) Kamov 32 flying near Valencia at a forest fire. So they are definitely still active.
