This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Lajes June 2022 (CIV/MIL)
Hi everyone. Here's a small selection of photos of last month traffic. The white CRJ (ex South African Express) was a ferry flight back to North America, TUI dreamliner was a medical emergency from Gatwick to St. Lucia and the EuroAtlantic B767 is operating for Azores Airlines on the Oakland service.

Re: Lajes June 2022 (CIV/MIL)
Nice selection of interesting aircraft! Regarding the picture of the VMFA-312 Hornet (211): on what date was that please? On 2 june, 5 of them were dragged from Poland (via The Netherlands) to Lajes by KC-46 16-46018, and one day later, 5 more followed with KC-46 15-46009. Do you happen to know which 5 arrived on the 2nd of june, and which on the 3rd? I would love to find out which 5 I saw on 2 june...

Ah, never mind, I see that you have already answered that question in your post about may. Great, thanks! Do you happen to have the codes for 164884-164902-165399?

164884 - WK-05; "VMFA(AW)-224" "Bengals"
165399 - No titles, just "200"
164902 is a tricky one and I admit I could have made a mistake here. This hornet that I photographed has DR-201 code and VMFA-312 titles. As well as "checkerboards". On the photos I can't read the serial but I found the info on scramble database.
"164902 F/A-18C 1234/C361 to ? Active Apr 2020 May 2020 ex DR-201/VFMA-312"
Hope this helps and if 164902 is the wrong serial let me know.

So 164897 it is! Thanks for the update! Maybe the database was not updated at the start of the month and I dound the old DR-201.
But all is good, thank you.

Re: Lajes June 2022 (CIV/MIL)
Hi DJ,
I found a picture of this one online last month, with this code indeed, when I was trying to figure out which ones had been deployed, so this seems to be correct. Don't remember where unfortunately. Do you have a reason to doubt it?
Cheers,
