EVENEMENT. La BA 113 de Saint-Dizier organise ses portes ouvertes,
les 25 et 26 juin, et attend 25 000 visiteurs par jour.
Avec l’objectif de « consolider le lien armée-nation ».

Quelle est la différence entre meeting et portes ouvertes ?

A en croire le programme annoncé par le colonel Tanguy Benzaquen, pas grand-chose a priori.

Le commandant de la base aérienne 113 de Saint-Dizier annonce
de la voltige avec la Patrouille de France,
des démonstrations du Rafale solo display,
ou encore des animations ludiques à destination des familles, le week-end des 25 et 26 juin :
25 000 visiteurs par jour sont attendus sur le tarmac de la base bragarde pour les portes ouvertes de la BA 113.

La différence, en réalité,
réside d’abord dans la communication de l’armée de l’Air et de l’Espace et d’une stratégie d’économie à l’échelle nationale.

« Il n’y a plus qu’un seul meeting et une seule porte ouverte par an.

Cette année, c’est à Cognac pour le meeting, à Saint-Dizier pour la porte ouverte », précise le commandant de la base.

Tant mieux pour les Bragards, qui auront donc droit, a priori, à du beau spectacle, avec le concours de différentes bases qui permettront de profiter, en plus de « nos » Rafale, des Mirage 2000 D et 5, des A 400 M et autres Aplhajet.

Is this open day itself a paid & registered event? Or is that just for a spotters package?

The latter I suppose, Andy, as the poster announcing the Open Days says "Entrée Gratuite".
To spotters, they offer these paid options: € 60 for the Friday, € 30 per day for Sat/Sun/Mon or € 130 for all four days. The message is the photo spot(s?) along the runway will be the same as in 2017. From video footage, I am not too impressed about that unfortunately - but perhaps someone else is willing to share own (and better?) experience.

On sunday morning around 8.30 hrs. a Rafale did some kind of weatherflight. This was before the gates were open.
Anybody for the serial of this bird?

Wenn we left the base the hangar next to the western carparking was open with 2 Rafales visible. Anybody for these 2?
