@E
Good job by Arno 01 then! Would still love to see how on earth can one take pics of landing aircraft while sitting in one? I did see some others taken from a plane but there were no landing shots in that collection. Cheers.

Re: Souda Air Base, Greece in April
Hi Robert, Great, great pics. So where you on the base when you said you were there for 3 days of work or were the pics taken from outside the perimeter. Re the French camo tanks, the French and Qataris are flying missions together, at times going in as pairs of one Mirage 2000 each from the two air...

Re: IMPOUNDED in Spain: Israeli IDF/AF Bell 212s bound for Iran
Without having to spell Google in full capital letters, the point remains that in the BBC article quoted in the first post on the subject there was absolutely no mention of Israel except in the title, which raised the question of why Israel was mentioned while the whole text body did not even once m...

Exactly my question! It's the usual British Biscuit Company spin........anything that is anti-Israeli goes.

Re: Libya - UN no-fly zone - Operations
On my box here I sense an increase in both the number of sorties as well as the determination in hitting more and more targets. Looking forward to confirmation of the former when Stefan lets us have the figures for these last two days. Would like to thank Stefan here for the daily cronicle of sorties.

Re: Sigonella (LICZ/NSY) - 2011 MIL
There were 8 Ospreys at one time in Sig yesterday, the 4 from MLD, two Thunders and two Legacys. The Legacy's were off the KEARSARGE but not sure about the Thunders though they did seem to come from the south too.

Not sure if the two GOLDs have anything to do with the 12 SP jets that are going downrange.

Re: Libya - UN no-fly zone - Coalition overview
A fast jet is off the runway at Sigonella and there's some probs for returning jets, plus one of the MOBIL tankers may have a problem with his boom which is complicating matters for the jets trying to get some more gas before hopefully they make it to Sig.

Re: Libya - UN no-fly zone - Operations
It seems the UAE Mirages have left Deci for Sigonella and the F16 will be following them this morning. The Danish F16s may be leaving Sigonella but not sure if its for repositioning or for any other reason.
