LOG: LHD-5 USS Bataan, Palma, 11th Sept 2017.

For what it's worth this is what was noted on board the above. Difficult was not the word. You could see the ship easily, but getting close was not, unless you had a boat, which Ryanair seemingly discourage you to carry for some reason ! As usual, any help with any of the numerous gaps, would ...

LOG & REQ Gando 27.2.16.

This is a bit of a tongue in cheek LOG I’m afraid, as I spent a very frustrating hour on the viewing deck at Las Palmas last Saturday, overlooking the Military side of the airfield. Equipped with minimal optics, I managed to log the following but with huge gaps in identities. Serials in brackets are...

Re: Fallon NAS (KNFL/NFL) - 2010 MIL

By the way, 164401 should be 163401.
Hello Melchior,
Well I have just looked at the picture I took of this a/c and it definitely has 164401 painted on it.

Fallon NAS (KNFL/NFL) - 2010 MIL

Fallon NAS 4th October. Nevada, thunderstorms, thick mud, low cloud, no sunshine, cool - you must be joking? - no it really was like that and the visit was almost called off. However the gods relented slightly during the day and a window of opportunity came by and this is what was seen. CAG CVW 17 ?...

"The Mound" -open or not?

Having visited Charles De Gaulle back in April and spent quite some time on the Mound (Spot2 in the spotting guide),without any hassle at all, I am now hearing that a fence has been constructed across the end of this land, preventing anyone from entering the area! Is this true? :( I ask because a fr...

Kirtland (KABQ/ABQ) - 2009 MIL

Kirtland AFB NM October 2009. Last October on the 8th, I visited Kirtland AFB NM. and viewed from the outside as no base visit had been arranged. By co-incidence in Scramble 367 (December 2009), there appeared pictures from inside Kirtland of a UH-1N and a CV-22B both on base on the same date, but n...
