Re: Leeuwarden 2011 15 september - Spottersday
Indeed, big thanks to the organisation of the spotter day - especially as I was one of the few lucky foreigners :bday:. Great organisation, relaxed security (not rushing us to the buses while some interesting arrivals were coming), ad-hoc extending of the spotter area as more people came, some photo...

Re: WEF 2011 in Payerne (CH)
We were wondering too! Last time WEF was there, it was -30C and in general, we're used to dressing quite... warm... for this eventbvdboomen wrote:Switzerland eh? Where is all the snow?

Re: Axalp 2010 [heavy!]
Yep, the first two are kind of what I ment by "not as good as I would want to" ;) I think this was the only time when the "right" side of the valley was actually wrong  (although I'd give it a bit more of shadows, I've seen similar ones with darker parts nicely emphasize...

It's updated Now it contains just about everything that you will ever need to know about the Axalp demonstration, as seen from any side (until they bloody change something again ). Enjoy the lecturemuflon wrote:See here, I wrote it all there and planning to update soon.

Re: Axalp 2010 [heavy!]

Re: Axalp 2010 [heavy!]
Yep, many people were saying this. Year or two ago, we were used to EC635 having a special appearance and Alouettes doing the dirty job. This year, suddenly the roles invertedMaurice wrote:Strange to see these Eurocopters in stead of the Alouettes, have to get used to the 'new' types...

Re: Axalp 2010 [heavy!]
It's worth the walk to the other side... How about it.. is it as the walk up the hill on the other side? :respect: Yep, walk to the other side is roughly same as the walk to the other side ;) Seriously: needs not as much stamina as Wildgarst hike, but it's at times more tricky technically. See here...

Re: Axalp 2010 [heavy!]
too bad they are a bit too small for my taste Well, couple of'em is quite cropped (down to ~1300px wide), but normally I should be able to pull an A4 out of most ;-) For once, it's not a show-off of the 500/4IS, but rather (mostly) 300/2.8IS with a TCx2. But next time, I'll be taking the 500 there ...

Re: 50th anniversary of Frecce Tricolori
Well, 2-3 are down to, say 1500px horizontal from the full frame. But generally not, they are all entirely printable in 30x20 & up.

Re: RIAT 2010 [heavy]
Just one tip though. Imho you sometimes overdid the noisefilter, best seen in pics 5, 11 and 12 (watch the trees for example). Agreed, I know it's debatable :) - 5 and 12 - it was really to save the pics as such, initially they were really blurry and heavily cropped, even in 900x600 still unaccepta...
