Re: EU - Africa Summit Brussels April 2014
Will be visiting BRU from the 1st - 3rd April for the summit, does anyone know if the visiting delegations are likely to park their aircraft on the main aprons (presumably round about the Abelag area) or are there likely to be aircraft parking at Melsbroek?
Many Thanks,
Neil.

EHAM 24-25 March 2014 Nuclear Security summit, off topic
Would like to come over from the U.K. for this event as it sounds if there will be a lot of interesting aircraft present. Just wondering what it will be like security wise for spotting. Anyone got any ideas as to whether the viewing terrace would remain open or would be closed as a security measure?...

Re: General spotting conditions in the USA
Hi there, Went to the USA in February this year. Flew initially to Philadelphia where I spotted airside for 4 hours quite discreetly, just using mini bins when required and was not bothered at all. Flew on to Miami where I stayed at the "Comfort Inn and Suites" from which the 2 near runway...

I can highly recommend the Hotel Linda at Can Pastilla for a base near the airport. If you get a high level room facing the city, all arrivals on 06L and departures on 24R can be read off with ease. Large windows at the end of the passageway to the elevators enable departures from 06R to be read off...

Both viewing decks are open till 2000 if I'm not mistaken and all aircraft can be read off from one or the other depending on runway direction. After these close there isn't normally a great deal due in unless you need German charter aircraft and I think the airport closes at 2300. There are some wi...
