Re: Kecskemét, Hungary, 2021

Good to know, I really hope I'll be able to attend it this year! I mean, COVID should be on its way out by then with vaccinations, and I've been working a lot during the pandemic without travelling anywhere, so I have some disposable income on hand. I mean, I haven't translated tons of documents and...

Re: F-35 Lightning II developments

What's the price tag on the F-35 variants these days? I guess prices per unit ranging from $70 million to $150 million (the lower being for the F-35A, the higher tag went without a mention of the variant) according to how much the writer of the articles likes Lockheed Martin. I mean, it's ridiculous...

Re: Wednesday PIC: Boeing 737-200 "smokeliner" overran runwa

Okay, thanks! Then it's pretty much an achievement that nobody suffered from the landing and that the landing gear isn't even broken. I'm pretty sure that the plane will be serviceable within a week; something I'm not sure about regarding the underwear of most of the crew and passengers!

Re: PIX: Russian Su24 Fencers buzzed Belgian Navy ship Godet

And if I was on a Russian forum, I'd have gotten in return something along the lines of "Exactly, USA felt powerful and organised civil wars in Ukraine and Syria. Nice going. And always this talk of Western Europe being eternally threatened, a bit sad". I'm not trying to do propaganda, I w...

Re: PIX: Russian Su24 Fencers buzzed Belgian Navy ship Godet

I'm not trying to influence anyone, it's just that every country sees military action close to its borders as threatening. If I was on a Russian forum, I'd have said "well, you know, the Westerners feel threatened, too"... But well, it's nothing new: since 1945, each side has been afraid o...

Re: PIX: Russian Su24 Fencers buzzed Belgian Navy ship Godet

Well, Russia does feel threatened by the build-up of NATO forces at the border, so they're quite nervous. I know that from the Western side, it's the Russians who look threatening, but...

Re: Wednesday PIC: Boeing 737-200 "smokeliner" overran runwa

Damn, I don't know whether it's the angle of the pic or something like that, but it looks like they overran the runway by something like 40 meters, so that was a close call! Is that runway short, was it wet or anything, or was it a pure mess-up from the crew or the plane?

Re: Alrosa operating Tupolev Tu-134 and Tu-154 into summer 2

Weren't the Tu-134s supposed to be banned from civilian service back in 2011 or 2012 by the Russian airline authorities following a crash?

Re: Chengdu , China

Thanks for the pics, you don't get to see Chinese planes on an English speaking forum every day! I'll make sure to read your article when it's ready.

By the way, is there someone on the forum who got to see the latest Chinese planes, like the J-20 or 31, IRL?
