Re: C-141B Starlifter in a striking camouflage scheme
Hi all, thanks for these comments, unfortunately no exact solution is given, but just great educated guesses, ten points! The location is most probably Norton AFB (CA) with the San Bernardino mountains on back-ground. I agree that the colour scheme could have some connection to pre- or post maintena...

C-141B Starlifter in a striking camouflage scheme
Hi there, After nearly 6,300 views at the website, some 3,000 views on Facebook (with 39 shares), the reason for this weird colourscheme, the location (and timeframe) of this picture and the exact serial of this C-141B Starlifter is still not clear. Anyone able to help AirHistory.net? https://www.ai...

Re: chinooks to mali
I'm always wondering why people ask these questions if they can find it verrrrrrry easy by themselves on this website. Go to the homepage of Scramble.nl (or on top of this page), select DATA and MILITARY DATABASES, select European Air Forces and Netherlands, type CH-47D in the type field and be happ...

Re: Dutch Cougars at work in and over Afghanistan (photo heavy)
Nice set! I noticed that you used 1/640 for the air-to-air shots of the Cougar. Is this the lowest you can go for aerial shots from a vibrating platform? (assuming you were seated in another chopper) I can't speak for Stephan, but you sure can go lower... I've used 1/320th while using a 300mm lense...

Re: My own impression of a very nice airshow - Leeuwarden 2011
Hi, Thanks for the explanation, it's fine by me... I thought you had self-criticism high on your agenda so I didn't expected to see some (test) pics like these, out of your camera, appear on the MB. A lot of viewers don't even notice this I think, that's more then okay too. Maybe they don't dare to ...
