Various overflying Rheden this afternoon
Since last month I live in Rheden and while I have much to occupy myself still from the move I kept my Nikon P950 ready while rummaging in the garden and garage this afternoon, for I have noticed we often have low overflying aircraft here. Twice I noticed a flight of 3 Hercs plus one I cannot identi...

747 N903AR apu brand op S-ramp
Boeing 747 N903AR suffered a spectacular apu fire tonight on Amsterdam's S-ramp. The Centurion/Skylease flight KYE4852 had arrived earlier today (24.1319CEST ex/ MIA, by FlightAware) and probably was preparing for departure, as KYE4851, to MIA. Schiphol's firefighting services appeared on the scene ...

airliner wreck at Tempelhof: VFW-614?
Hello, my son returned from a visit to Berlin, for me he had a few pics taken at Tempelhof. The DC-4 was seen from a great distance, the former firetrainer was quickly identified but behind a fence and bushes was something I am struggling with. Is this all that remains of VFW-Fokker 614 N614GB? See ...

Re: Off-airport 737 Shanghai

Re: Off-airport 737 Shanghai
Erwin, interesting theory; a bit tricky to create a round shape like a fuselage from wood. The wing certainly does look suspect, has no slats; the engine is a bit weird too. The wingroot does fir nicely onto the cheatline, but the fuselage lacks antennaes. No cockpit ' brow' windows either. The tail...

Re: Off-airport 737 Shanghai
I don't know which one, he flew international I think. I did find a candidate through: http://www.airportspotting.com/tag/aviation/page/3/ which says "THE 737-200 I intended to go and find the ex-China Eastern 737-200 that is also in southern Shanghai. The Metro line XXX terminus at Ji Yang Roa...

Off-airport 737 Shanghai
Hello, someone sent me a pic taken from a bus into town, coming from the airport, sighting a 737 in faded livery; seems to me ex/ China Eastern, can make out a few faded letters. The emblem on the tail has been removed. A stadium is visible in the background, but the only people I see are dressed in...

VP-CHD spotted on groundtransport 16Feb15
Hello,
while cycling to work I noticed VP-CHD loaded on a flatbed transporter in Hoofddorp, Netherlands today - 16Feb2015 (12:40 utc). Could have been heading to the Aviation College ('RoC') for use as instructional airframe?
