During our recent base visit we also pictured the preserved fighters at various locations on the base...

Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Re: Preserved gems at Laage..
Very nice pics, great that they are preserved (especialy in this very nice state!), but I honestly can't understand why the NVA/LSK Hoheitsabzeichen can't be displayed historically correct...
I have never drunk milk, and I never will . . . .

Nice ones!
You missed one F-4 in a former east german shelter...
It will leave Laage for the museum in Gatow.
Maybe she already left Laage....

We indeed missed that one as we were not allowed access to this old NVA shelter due to "Einstürzungsgefahr". It was still there for sure!mirage 69 wrote:Nice ones!

Re: Preserved gems at Laage..
They are right with that decision.
It was very dark in there with a lot of holes in the concrete floor...it was a bit dangerous but I think that "einsturzgefahr" not the reason is.
I needed 15 sec shutterspeed with aperture f16..
