Are you 100% sure that both departed from Ramstein?? I thought they departed from Stuttgart instead of Ramstein.

Re: ETAR 18.08.2012
both USMC Hercs dep from Stuttgart to Mildenhall
Re: ETAR 18.08.2012
Indeed was showing as RANGR , but could this have been atc callsign filed on flightplanes (therefore showing on mode-s as such) but pronounced as Ranger. Same as Herky always shows as HKYNote callsign Rangr(not Ranger).

Both KC-130's 3023/QH and 2786/QH were at the ground when I arrived at Ramstein thursday 16 aug around noon. I saw them depart 17 aug. at 9.30 and 9.40 local time.Eric van Lisdonk wrote:Are you 100% sure that both departed from Ramstein?? I thought they departed from Stuttgart instead of Ramstein.

(temp) based C130J 04-3142 departed home around 08.00 in the morning.
It left as Herky99 which is a ferry call sign most of the times.
Not sure if it only went back for maintenance or for a new task at a US mainland based squadron.

There was a C-17 landing that day 14.01l. Anyone with ID? Saw it from a far distance, maybe yellow stripe.
