Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Beauvechain - Home of the easy livin' 02-05-2011

Today we wend to Beauvechain (Bevekom) in Belgium with GRAS. It turned out to be a very nice visit with ultra relaxed base personnel.
I hereby want to thank GRAS for arranging the visit. The base was a first timer for me and I enjoyed it a lot!
We had an accidently sneak preview which we can't post, that's the deal. It will be revealed very soon though.

1. The st-260 in the maintenance hangar.

2. The sign says: "please leave aircraft inside". I guess it's grounded by it's mum. :)

3. Outside on the platform, trying to make a disc with 1/40th.

4. This Alpha Jet was towed out of the maintenance hangar and placed in the full sun.

5. So we could shoot it very nice!

6. Meanwhile a A109 was passing. Unfortunately the only moving one we could do, due to short of time.

7. Trust me, this is not what it seems... ;)

8. The light in the hangars was amazing.

9. Also free passage in the A109 hangar.

10. We completed our visit at the museum, where the preserved were not that good conserved.

It indeed has. It's no doubt no secret that the Red Devils are back again but we have a photo embargo until Thursday.

The story behind the "sneak preview" being that the Belgian AF belatedly realised the team had not been officially presented to public and press last monday; this was scheduled for today (wednesday). Therefore, they asked us to refrain from publishing until after the unveiling, and we did. And yes, there were other pictures already on the net, but some of them were of incomplete schemes or didn't show close-ups like we were allowed to shoot... thankfully!

Yup, we did indeed and therefor thanks to all guys who hold the embargo.

Anyone got a complete log of this visit? Just the serials should be enough. I think the Beauvechain 2011 topic is the most appropriate place for it..

in the morning i was in the landing with my truck when the Hercules CH07 making Touch & go's

also a formation off three Augusta's came inbound H01,H07 and the H27, so when they where landed the H01 going into the hangar and they removed the propellor blades for the GRAS visit

Great photos of a great visit! I also like the arty farty B+W ones.

Did anyone notice the different serial presentation in the tail of the SF-260's? Some are added with a "+". Are these upgraded ones, and if so how are the different frames called nowadays?
