Flight with RNlAF Fokker 50 from EHEH 17-03-2010

Post by DJMikey »

Today we've made a flight above reggions Noord-Brabant and Zeeland, the Netherlands, with a RNlAF Fokker 50, serial U-05. Ofcourse we've made pictures, eventhough this was very hard considering the shaking airplane, the heatwaves from the turboprops and the dirty windows. De pics turned out to be only air to ground, because apperantly no planes were nearby in the air to give us the time for a little A2A-photography. Nevertheless, the flight was highly appreciated, thank you RNlAF and Eindhoven AFB!!

Some impressions:

It started well, this moist drew some attention. The prop was shutdown to check. After the checking, it turned out to be water instead of motoroil or something. All fine, safety first 8) :!:

Via Tilburg to Gilze Rijen, find the Chinook

Then off to region Zeeland.

That moist could also have been fuel. This tube is a venturi and through the airstream extracts the drain fuel out of the collector tank. This little tank can be full after a while of doing nothing for the engine..

But it isn't a bad or dangerous thing..
