This aircraft is bought from Rotterdam airport by some "Westlanders" to use in an upcoming event called "de zwarte cross" in the East of the Netherlands. Currently (18-07-2009) parked in a field next to the road from Delft to de Lier N223 Woudseweg ('t Woudt)

Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Did it turn black on purpose or did something else happen to it?

Re: Phototopic - off airport 't Woud [NL]
Right. As far as I know it never served as a 'business plane', nor did it belong to BA. It was owned/operated by BASE Airlines...En indruk maken doet het zwarte zakenvliegtuigje, de PH-KJB van oorspronkelijk British Airways, ondanks zijn gehavende staat, langs de drukke Woudseweg nu al.

It was painted black because a group of people are going to take it to the black cross (zwarte cross) next week in the east of Holland http://www.zwartecross.nl/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; to impress the farmers and show they can party too
After that some fire departments are interested to use it as training object (what I heard)

It was originally destined to be delivered to the ROC van Amsterdam Airport in Hoofddorp but they had problems removing the wings, as far as i know the parts that were removed are still lying at the ROC.

The PH-KJB was registerd 21-3-1985 with Netherlines as owner. As of June 1991 it was flying for Air Transport Schiphol and as of January 1995 until april 2001 flying for Base Eindhoven. In april 2004 the registration was cancelled because the CofA was expired for more than a year. (Source Scramble PH-register)
