Indonesia's flag carrier Garuda will open 16 new royutes this year, comprising 13 domestic and three international routes, and add more aircraft to its fleet, the airline company announced Saturday.

The new routes will begin gradual operation from Jan. 16, and will later be supported by 14 new Boeing 737-NG aircraft to be delivered in mid-2009.

No new routes to the EU, I guess. They're still on the blacklist

Hopefully the European Union will withdraw Indonesia very soon to make it possible to land in Europe again (I don't think it will happen soon.. )

Garuda is already many years to return to the Netherlands. I spoke to someone at Bali who told me DPS - AMS would be the most realistic route because of tourism.
Garuda's last flight to Amsterdam was in 2004 (or 2005.. I am not sure)
Did Garuda serve to Denpasar or to Jakarta those years?

Routing of GA975 was AMS-SIN-CGK.
