Melchior,
Got a couple of questions for you.
The A129's/A109 are from 48°Gruppo Sqd instead of 49, is it?
You didn't LOG any AB206's, mean they not belong to their inventory anymore?
As I know the based choppers are parked in shelters, did you visit most of the shelters, or does this base have much more choppers for hide?
And did the AB205's wear 25°Gruppo markings? Or is this the only gruppo based here fly with AB205?
That's it for now, very helpfull report, excellent
Any info from this base is more then welcome....
Groet,
Rik

Indeed 48°Gruppo Sqd, slip of ther vinger...
There are no more AB206s in thier inventory anymore. None of the AB205 was wearing any squadron markings, but 25°Gruppo Sqd is the only unit flying them at Rimini. We visited some shelters, but the base hosts a total of between 40-60 choppers, depending of the amount of choppers abroad and/or having maintenacne elswhere. We saw at least 2 unidentified A129s stored in a shelter.

At Casarsa openday I was told that no Bell206's where assigned to operational units anymore, and that only Viterbo uses a some for flighttraining duties.
The complete Mangusta-fleet is spread over both Rimini and Casarsa, and just a small amount is based at Viterbo for training.
Far as I know there is only one GdF Hughes 500 based, one serial can be obtained true the online database of:
http://www.ondutchwings.nl/db/italy.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
But this one has a l/n of April 2007, so can't tell for sure this one is still based here.

Why not just give the serial instead of trying to lure more people to your website and database?
PS It is about time that ODW introduces a forum as well, so we can spam our products 15 times a day there as well!
Greetings,
Stefan

Wijgert,
As Stefan already said, giving the serial instead of spamming ODW is much more appreciated. I'm sure ODW is very thankfull for all the information and last notes we provide by the LOGs and other messages of Italy and others on our messageboard in the past and future.
Cheers,
P.S The serial you ment is indeed not the one since we saw that on at Pratica last week.

Hahaha... perhaps we should... perhaps we should...Stefan wrote: Why not just give the serial instead of trying to lure more people to your website and database?

Greetings,

Can imagine it looks like a spamming action, but I was just trying to make clear that my knowledge about "only one" Hughes beeing based here was cross checked with the database of ODW. Giving the serial in this case was of no use, as her last note date was to long ago.
Was just trying to help here... with a recent l/n I would have posted the serials of course.
It's not a matter of not willing to share, it was just not of any use in this case. And yes, sure we are very, very, thankfull...Melchior Timmers wrote: As Stefan already said, giving the serial instead of spamming ODW is much more appreciated.
