This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Aero Expo 2008 - Marrakech-Menara 23/26 January '08
Let's do a kick-off for a new topic about Aero Expo 2008, which was held at Marrakech-Menara, Morocco, from 23rd untill 26th of January 2008.
All pictures have been shot with digital pocket camera, so only some static display aircraft from my side. Perhaps some one else can post some shots of the minor flying activity during the event?
The static display was on a good position sunlight-whise, but the fences where placed very near to the aircraft and also the specificiation/information displayboards where always infront of the aircraft. Some aircraft where parked closed the the next one, and public was allowed to walk in front and behind past the static-line.
Never the less some very rare aircraft could be seen, so perhaps not the best quality, but still worth sharing this with all of you I think.
Feel free to post some of your own shots of this event:
Okay, not the best shots... but it gives a good impression I would say! Let's hope more Aero Expo's will follow in the future...

My thoughts exactly ! I guess the Moroccans just wanted to make a good impression, which does make sense when you don't expose yourself as often as they do. Nothing wrong with that....DJMikey wrote:It looks like every single aircraft has been cleaned before it was parked on static ... some of them look almost mock-up-like, zo clean they are
But I'm very curious if you managed to capture any flying activities ?
Curious regards,
Iwan

Hi all,
A more standard but (considering the background) still nice picture of an AV Viper, flown by Lockheed martin test pilot for the 6 min display...
Although the display was ok (RNlAF Demo Team is always better!!! ), I've never seen so many people in the audience go crazy over an F-16 demo!!!!
