Hi all
I thought it was about time to show you some pictures from my home airport.
Since this was also a test of my new photo gear, not all the pics are top quality (the weather didn't help either). But still, it gives you an impression of what you can see on an ordinary Sunday afternoon.
Maersk has now given Sterling a deadline for repainting the old Maersk aircraft because Maersk has the rights for this c/s. So you better hurry if you want to take pics of this c/s.
A couple of SAS' stored Q-400
I have included this one because OY-KHP is the first SAS MD-80 to be fitted with a "hush kit". If you look closely at the exhaust you will see that it is different from the "normal" MD-80.
All Sterling's B737 is going to be fitted with winglets. OY-MRH is one of the first of the old Maersk planes to fitted with winglets.
SAS B737 - not a plane we see everyday at Copenhagen.
Hope you like them.
Happy New Year to you all.

I have seen this modification also on a Blue Line MD-80 and on a Mapjet MD-80jaah wrote: This one I included because OY-KHP has been fitted with a "hush-kit" as a test. off topic:
@ Jaah: Also noted some kind of 'wire' which is used to hold chickens on the Nosewheel lights of the SAS MD-80's...used to protect them for cracking while landing on a wet runway..note that these lamps are 1000 watt each

Yes the "rally lights" as we call them will be installed on all our MD-80's for the reason you just mentioned.gatso76 wrote:I have seen this modification also on a Blue Line MD-80 and on a Mapjet MD-80jaah wrote: This one I included because OY-KHP has been fitted with a "hush-kit" as a test. About the "hush kit"; I have been told that it is not a succes. It doesn't reduce the noise as much as expected so OY-KHP might be the only of our MD-80's to get the kit.
