EU/Africa summit - 9 December in Lisbon

Post by ehusmann »

A couple of times each year I travel to Lisbon, but usually I don't spend time at the runway. The Portuguese aviation scene is not too big and the traffic in Lisbon is also not too much. But, this time it was different! 7/8 and 9 December the EU/Africa summit was helt in Lisbon. I only heard this a couple of days before leaving, but still in time! After arriving I could talk my girlfriend into spending some time at the runway..... here is why:

First, some nice Military and Government visitors

A Mali Government BAC 1-11!!! I can't even remember when was the last time I saw a BAC 1-11 taking off...... and my girlfriend couldn't believe the thing actually had hush-kits installed! :worship:

Some other bizzers:

And of course the usual TAP ones, including one of the last in the old colours :@(: :

The bird I arrived on from MUC this time:

And because this one is soooooo good  !

I hope you all like them! I sure did!

You bet yah!!!

The log is here, although I wouldn't call it a full log. Planes were already leaving when I arrived (hence, the unread AMI A319), but at least I got some of the action!

No I didn´t see the PH-KBX. But it might have been there. If you search on A.net for Lisbon on the 9th of December, you can get a feeling of the full traffic. There was much more that had already left when I got there. Maybe the PH-KBX was there as well.
