Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Anthony Fokkerschool the Hague 1982

Post by EC »

I do not know if many of the viewers in this forum trained as mechanics on the MTS in the Hague but for those who did this must be a trip down memory lane.

These pictures were taken back in 1982 at an open day (I was not a student of this school)

Cockpit of a Grumman Tracker

I am not 100% sure but this must be the cockpit of one of the Thunderflashes

Nice to see these pics :D I'm studying aircraft maintenance at this school, but nowadays it isn't the "Antony Fokkerschool" but the ROCvA in Hoofddorp. I'm very sorry that we haven't the Grumman Trakcer, the Beaver and the Sikorsky S58 no more.

Now we have 2 Jetstreams, the 2 F-84 of the picture, the T-33 of the picture, a T-6 Harvard, A Saab Safir, Cessna 172, NF-5A, F-104G Starfighter, F-16A and a Alouette III, the cockpit section of a Boeing 747.

The Gruman is now on Lelystad Airport (in KLM-colourscheme! :S)

Thanks for sharing your pictures :D

@ssb-spotting, it's actually a Cessna 152 we got, should be somewhere on the a/c. (First year, Niv4/Cat B1)

sfeyenoord1: It's my second year at this school! This year I hope I can get a job by Direct Maintenance @ EHAM!

Raptor16: Yeah, you're right, it's indeed a Cessna 152.

De school op de Binckhorstlaan in Den Haag, dat is toch alweer dik 12 jaar geleden voor mij.
