On our way from Phoenix to Tucson my wife and I passed Marana and we decided to take a quick look. Obviously most can't be seen from the ground and a lot of heat distortion doesn't make life easier either.
About a mile before the actual storage part, this former Sabena B747-300M OO-SGC can be seen. Its current registration is based on the construction number.
A long term resident is this former China Eastern MD-82 B-2131.
The Arizona Cardinals Football team is the proud owner of the former Delta B777 N867DA.
Most of the American Eagle EMB140/145 fleet is stored here. I gather that about 60 of them are present here. This is N849AE in old colors followed by N840AE and a general overiew of the fleet.
Air Canada Rouge is present too with a few aircraft such as this B767 C-FMWP
The Boeing dreamlifters had a lot less to do the last year so N780BA was send to Marana for some R&R.
Rampart Aviation operates a few interesting types such as DHC-4 turbo Caribous N600NC and N302PT. Both have a Kenyan Airforce history. Casa 212 N467CS completes their presence here.
Asky Airlines is/was based in Togo but was relying heavily on Ethiopian Airines. This is B737NG ET-AVO.
An unknown A319 from Sky Airline from Chile.
Some general overview pics to conclude this post.
I hope you like this overview.

Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |
