Hi,
With Sichuan and Chengdu Airlines being the dominated airlines at Chengdu Airport, this airport was visited as well.
Hotel was the Chengdu Airport Hotel (No.1 North 2nd Road), a high room gives you views on the northern runway.
When the Southern runway is in use for landing (from the South), they will never use it for departures.
That means, although arrivals cannot be sean, you will catch it on departure (and read off easily as well).

Early morning we took the taxi to the Chengdu Railway Station (30min ride) for our bullit train departure to Chongqing (1hrs 45min with 2 stops, steady at almost 300 km p/h).
We arrived here at 10.00Lt, not pre arranged tickets, resulting that the first available seats were only on the train of 11.45Lt. Ahh well, we cannot be lucky all the time.
