Aanstaande zondag is vliegbasis Gilze-Rijen extra geopend voor vliegbewegingen van de Chinook helikopter. De helikopter van het Defensie Helikopter Commando staat gepland om rond 9 uur vanaf de vliegbasis naar de Gamma Racing Day in Assen te vliegen. De Chinook zal in de middag vanuit Assen weer terugvliegen naar het zuiden van Nederland en voor 17:00 weer landen op de vliegbasis.
