Ben Gurion Intl Airport (LLBG) (MIL) 2016

Post by Starman »

Another year, another busy day at Ramstein am Zee (?) with a brace of Moose this afternoon, 88194 of the 62AW from RS and (800)02 of the Nato force from Papa. Oh, my 300th post, I´d hoped it´d be more interesting. Well, we did have a Kenyan AF Fokker F70 here last week (as I saw it here in 1996 I didn´t bother to mention it, but I know some of you guys are keen on things Dutch so, yes, it is still a flyer!)

There is a chance that this C-130 will escort the Tiger tailed Macchi 149 into Hatzerim as she (it, he??) is due this afternoon. However, it´s still showing here (Ramstein am Zee) at 14.30LT, just after today´s Moose from Rota. Either way all the Starmen have put their lenses away due to an incoming sand storm.

Arrived on time just after 33126 of the NJ ANG. It would have cost extra to send MM62195 and 33127

Any particular reason? Moosefest is not a Jewish public holiday, is it??? ;-)

It's not, but the Trumpmeister sure as eggs is scrambled will make it so, and god bless America. No, we are awaiting a VP visit later this week so I guess one brought the Burgers, one the Bud, one a Limo and the NATO one did the work. Last time a VP came we had a bunch of Blackhawks ... waiting!

And the Israelites trekked thru the dessert for 40 years (looking for dumped A-4s) at night led by a pillar of fire and in daylight, hidden behind the smoke from 4 J-57Ps (OK so somewhat modernized)

Pleasant way to end a day ...

Typical, you wait 10 years for a COD and two come together!

Arriving this morning from "somewhere in the Mediterranean" were 162165/50 and 162171/51 from VRC40 Det 4 CVW 3 "Dwight D Eisenhower". The usual fuzzy, spotty picture to follow. Presumably this has nothing to do with any persons that may be visiting Poland this weekend for the NATO summit.
