Wel gezien in een paar (buitenlandse) media maar meeste vermelden het niet, dus bij deze aangepast naar een wat terughoudende titel

Van nu.nl:

Reuters meldt dat het passagierstoestel niet op de verwachte tijd het Russische luchtruim binnenvloog.

Dat doet mij het ergste vrezen als inderdaad waar is, wat betreft de oorzaak dan.

Reuters meldt via Twitter dat het toestel is neergehaald met een raket vanaf de grond. Op gezag van Interfax die het dan weer van een (Russische?) adviseur van de minister van binnenlandse zaken hebben.

(reply to E. Hussman) Nope, Interfax is apparently quoting an advisor of the Ukrainian government, who stated that there were no survivors among the 295 souls on board . Let's wait to see how this develops... although right now it isn't looking good

I noticed now indeed, it was a Ukrainian advisor, not a Russian. Apparantly the missile was launched from a Buk launcher (whatever that may be).
