Forum rules
This is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum. Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post. In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.). Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so. |

Part 6, Yuma again: US AZ and NV (pics). A week in the sun?
Hello,
With LMB and M.V. we are on a short weektrip travelling through Arizona, Nevada and may-be California.
Today was a nice but rainy day. With Kelly Aviation we flew over AMARG and caught some nice stuff on the arrival ramps and Davis Monthan AFB platforms.
The Sabreliner is taxiing! It dropped of another one for AMARG the day before (friday).
Tommorrow I will try to put some more pics of the "new" stored a/c. Hope you like them.

Very nice pictures, with what lens/mm were they taken?
Would anyone know what the story is with those HC-130J Combat King IIs?
I would assume that they are at DM/AMARG for system integration purposes rather than storage?

Part 2: US AZ and NV (pics). A week in the sun? Day 1
Yep Indeedie. The old ones are always parked on the platform nearest to Pima and the new J models on the main platform.raameagle wrote:The HC-130Js are based at DM.
The lens I used was a 200mm (1.6 crop on a 23mp). I also did some cropping but not to much is needed. If you go bigger there will be to much shaking. Most companies do not fly criss cross over AMARG but Kelly Aviation at Ryan Field does! The two women who are flying from there are great and have the balls. Just contact them on www.kellysaviation.com and make a weekend appointment.
And Piet, here is part 2, the second part of the flight, with the (mostly "new") stored a/c:
And 1 pic I forgot in the other forum:
Over Greenland we were able to take some A2A moments..... :

Part 3, Fallon: US AZ and NV (pics). A week in the sun?
Last monday we had a great visit at Fallon. The sun was shining in the early morning and late afternoon. CAW-2 arrived the weekend before and there was a lot, a lot of activity! Here is a small selection of what we saw.
Yesterday and today we are spending at Nellis. Yesterday the weather was cloudy. Today probably too. Luckely I am still a number crunsher...... ;-(

Great stuff Patrick, thanks for sharing!
Air to ground is clearly the way to do AMARC, rather than by bus!
Hans.
