Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Nice job guys, really nice job. I like your take off shots. Just a small question, from which spot did you make these take off shots and with how many mm's exactly? I was standing at the touchdown spot of rwy05 but didn't allways manage to make it 'beeldvullend' with 280mm (which is 200+1,4x) at touchdown.

Thanks in advance for any answers.

In my case, I moved about a lot. From the enclosure across the parallel runway near the 05, I ended up at the eastern (right hand) side of the Tiger static for the take off shots. You saw the coloured Rafale. I needed 400 mm on a Nikon D300 (1.5 cropfactor) for that one.

Hans.

I stood, all day, close to the end of the static line and used 500mm and 800mm on a 1.3 crop camera.

Looks like photobucket and tinypic not work. :~?~:

But the photos which i can see clearly are very good.

Ola,

I was standing most of the time near the end of the static line. Depending what aircraft was taking off I moved around +/- 200 meters from my spot. The lens I used was Nikkor 4.0/500mm AF-I on full frame camera... so 'real' 500mm.

Just remembering departures at tlp, made some nice shots there in the past. Matter of distance I suppose...
