Hopefully the convince some support aircraft crews to park on static instead of leaving like Turkish AF KC135, Swedish Hercules and Greek C-27's.

Shorts Skyvans are now for sale, so some people may want to give this one another look before it is gone eventually...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 14-16 July 2017
Newly confirmed for the static display is a Saab JAS 39 Gripen multi-role fighter from the Hungarian Air Force. The nimble jet comes to the show from the 'Puma' squadron of the 59th Tactical Fighter Wing at Kecskemét, where 14 Gripens in total are based.
The static park will be further boosted by a return visit from a PZL-Mielec M28 Bryza 1R maritime surveillance aircraft of the Polish Navy. This distinctive twin-turboprop machine, a development of the Antonov An-28 with Western engines and many other enhancements, will arrive from the 44th Naval Base at Siemirowice in northern Poland.
Also on static display, the Lithuanian Air Force contributes a Leonardo C-27J Spartan airlifter from its Transport Squadron at Šiauliai. This will be only the second time the aircraft has appeared at the Air Tattoo in the Baltic state's colours.
Also joining the static line up will be a P2002-JF Sierra from the RAF Halton Aeroplane Club as well as an EV-97 Eurostar SL and EV-97 Team Eurostar from the RAF Microlight Club. Finally the Qatari Emiri Air Force will be bringing a C-130J-30 Hercules.

**The modified Bombardier Global 6000 should be (I'm informed) one of the United Arab Emirates examples being modified at Cambridge at this time.frank kramer wrote:today's updates:
