Re: Which camera do you use,and how many bodies ?
Way back when, I had the Minolta 7000 and the Minolta 7xi. The Sigma 70-200 for those bodies quit on me, so when it became time in 2007 to enter the digital age I really had all the options open. I chose Nikon because of the 18-200 VR lens. So in came the Nikon D80. After having invested in better Nikon-glass, that D80 is about to be joined by a Nikon D7000.
Re: Which camera do you use,and how many bodies ?
I had been using Minolta 7Xi bodies for a long time until I switched to Canon in jan 2004 with the 10D, then 1D, then 1D Mark II, then another 1D Mark II and now I am using a 1D Mark III, with the 1D2 as backup.

Canon T-60, EOS 300 in the old days of yore.. When Eagles still roamed the skies over Utrecht and small furry animals from Alpha Centauri were still small furry animals from Alpha Centauri.
Now I (ab)use a 300D (my first DSLR) and a 1Dmk2n. I don't really care for the fact the EOS 300D is 1 frame per hour, IMHO its the glass that counts. I use the 300D for static and the 1Dmk2n for fast moving stuff.

2004 - Canon 300D
2008 - Canon 40D
2011 - Canon 5DMkII
All camera's bought new at the time. The 5D is my main camera now, with the 40D in my bag as backup/second body. The 300D still works fine and I have it stored, together with the 18-55 kit lens. When I see fit, I can use it again. I've never sold/really retired any of my gear.

Re: Which camera do you use,and how many bodies ?
Since last year I have a second hand Nikon D80, which currently is good enough for me.
Before that I used to borrow my father's D50, since about 2008.
I also occasionally use his D90, but mostly when I need two lenses at the same time.
I'm currently not really rich (busy studying) so buying a big fancy camera will probably happen in a few years time

Re: Which camera do you use,and how many bodies ?
Since the digital era:
- 2004 Eos 1D mark II
- 2005 Eos 10D as spare
- 2008 Eos 40D to replace 10D
- 2012 Eos 1D mark IV to replace 1D mark II
So the last two are my current camera's.

Re: Which camera do you use,and how many bodies ?
Hi...
In my "analog days" I used Canon bodies: Ftb, AE-1 and A-1.
I switched to Nikon F100 in the late '90's.
I switched to digital in 2002 with a (occoasion) Nikon D1. My next body was a (occasion) Nikon D2H and after that I used a (new) Nikon D200 with battery grip.
The D1 and D2H are now in my camera collection, the D200 was sold to a friend of mine.
At the moment I use the following (first hand) bodies:
Nikon D300 with battery grip.
Nikon D700 with battery grip.
Nikon D3.
On these bodies I use the following lenses:
Nikkor AF-S 24-70ED 2.8 (Nano coating) on the D700.
Nikkor AF-S 70-200ED 2.8 VRII (Nano coating) on the D3.
Nikkor AF-S 300ED 4.0 on the D300, also in combination with the TC-17E II.
Nikkor TC-17E II.
Nikkor AF-S 105ED 2.8 VR Micro (Nano coating) on all bodies, but rarely for aviation.
When I go "plane-hunting" I take all three camera's with me, for military aircraft I use all three but at EHAM I mostly use the D3 with the 70-200.
Grtz.
