Just block it off if necessary
Well guys, at Cervia we were first treated to two hours of George Zamfir blowing on his panflute playing on the speakers, intermixed with sporadic ATC from tower freq.
After that jet noise all the way and ATC messages like: can you make another 360, we are low on fuel, we will now fly to alternate, etc etc.
Just don't let it spoil your day. It is added fun.

Wished KLu could do it like it has been done at Cervia. Would improve a lot.Ergo01 wrote:Well guys, at Cervia we were first treated to two hours of George Zamfir blowing on his panflute playing on the speakers, intermixed with sporadic ATC from tower freq.

The problem about the general public is that they also believe the commentary is right

Well most people don't know the half of what they are saying and believe the BS they say, ah well the forget it anyhow. They just there for the show.
What I found the most annoying was "Het hoge Kuifje gehalte" comment.
Why that comment every time? I don't even like Kuifje.
Just shut up and let the Engines do the talking.

Totally agree with DJ Mikey and Aviodromefriend.
For such a professional organisation as the RAF is it is almost a shame to listen to the speakers stupid and childish yokes!!!
Never heard a person around me laugh or saw a smile on their face when they talk about "seven drops of rain" or "for such old guy it's a pretty big ....."
Really gives the whole event a amateurish charisma.
Just my opinion, but I'am glad I'm not alone....

So true, even the Mirage 2000C had 'een hoog Kuifje gehalte'. And every manouvre and every a/c was 'leuk' (nice).Mad Viper wrote: What I found the most annoying was "Het hoge Kuifje gehalte" comment.

But hey, I brought my earplugs with a reason.

Sorry jeepteam to answer you in English, maybe its nice if you hear it for the first time, but its old and boring if you hear it for some 20 years on almost every item at every airshow these men do the commentary at. And as I posted before, nowadays that is at almost every airshow in the Netherlands. But how do they say it in Dutch?jeepteam wrote:sorry in het nederlands
Het benoemen van een model met een hoog kuifje gehalte vind ik sterk.
Het gaat over de vormgeving en gevoel van oorspronkelijkheid
en is een goede associatie
Onkruid vergaat niet.

De beste stuurlui staan aan wal, but OK, maybe it's an idea to organise a game where we can try to do better then them ( next DSC? )jeepteam wrote:Yes
I’ll understand that about the ten years.
But they also say in Dutch
