Re: The Dutch airliner delivery thread
An E190 to Therhan? Don't think so. Think you are confused with the regular MD11 flight.

Don't think so to be honest...
1) Your source names another source which is unreliable. In firda, no such thing would be mentioned. Internally, nothing has nothing been communicated about such thing. Especially not in Iran.
2) After arrival maintenance need a full day to build in things like the oven and remove the HF radio set.
3) KLM002 is not a callsign used by KLM. Non-regular flights always have 4 numbers just like the ferry flight. And from my memory most flights start with a 7. Outbound flights have an uneven number at the end.
4) AMS-IKA has a great circle distance of 2500NM, well beyond the E190STD range.
5) Aircraft is needed for production.
As said before, the regular MD11 flight leaves at 1535. So unless hard proof is given this is for me unbelievable...

What is IKA standing for?

I Think that kind of questions can better be asked in the daily EHAM topics.
FYI, the PH-EZX landed around 1830lt at 04 and is leaving tomorrow to IKA as KLM002 (around 1545 lt)
Re: The Dutch airliner delivery thread
True that's unbelievable but also the CISS is mentioning the flight:
KL0002T 15:45 IKA HG32 PHEZX E90.
So someone from KL has put this flight in the systems.

Re: The Dutch airliner delivery thread
Begin of the end of the KLM MD11's.....
PH-KCH will leave commercial service per 02 July 2012.
PH-KCI will follow mid September 2012.
Future of both aircraft will most likely be scrapping (in the USA).
Kind regards,
Roel

Re: The Dutch airliner delivery thread
Any idea why the KCH and KCI are going out first? They are not the oldest planes in the fleet. Or are they the first of the MD11s who needs big maintenance?
Thanks
Thanks

Re: The Dutch airliner delivery thread
