Hi all,

from which squadron(s) were the two Tornado GR.4's?
Couldn't find any squadron marks.

For what reason were the Alpha-Jets of the French AF(both the single as the PdF aircraft) both military as civil marked (F-....)?

Greetings,

Henk

France has divided the F-register in seperate parts. As in F-A... you can find a lot of historical aircraft, F-T... is allocated to the military, AFAIK it has something to do with landing on civil airfields and money.

Thanks Aviadromfriend,

That explains it partly.
But why has France done that?

The Dutch fly their aircraft as T-264, J-XXX or else. Not with an PH-code as well.

Why have they done it?

This is getting off-topic, but anyway.......

As a matter of fact the Dutch do the same (or at least used to do the same). It just is not shown on the aircraft!
Not 100% sure if this is still correct, but the PA-... and PE-... range is assigned to Dutch military aircraft.
An example from the old box..... PE-CAA was the C-1 (F27).

Gerard

Anyone for the Red Arrow serials ?

So far these have been mentioned in this topic;

XX237 XX253 XX292 XX294 XX264 XX266 XX308 XX242

Also anyone with the serials for the 5 Royal Jordanian Falcons ?
Plus the 2 Police choppers, one left the 18th and another one came in on the 21st.

Thanks in advance,

Rene
