After reading the article in the last issue of Sramble Magazine about the use of MiG-21’s (YF-110B) in the USAF test program of he 4477th Test and Evaluation Squadron (4477 TES), I’ve been searching for more info about this project. Beside the MiG-21’s they also tested the MiG-23BN (YF-113B) and some more Russian hardware. In one article they talked about the MiG-23BN in Brussel as it also was used in this project. After service in the USA it went to Ramstein just like the MiG-21, which was preserved at Brussel some time ago.
I’m looking for more info about this MiG-23BN in use with USAF. I know it is ex Egypt. Does someone more info about it’s history?
According to someone also the Su-20 preserved at Leeuwarden AB was coming from Ramstein. Was this one also used by 4477 TES?
Thanks in advance.

They also used the MiG-23MS. An interesting survivor can be found on San Clemente Island on a small dump.

Re: MiG-23 Brussel museum
The Su-20 came from Manching and has no relation with the USAF.
The Su-20s was used as prototypes for updates to the Egypt a/c done by German companies.
There was a picture of one of the 2 Su-22 at Manching on the cover of an old Scramble magazine.
The other Su-20 is at Gatow museum
