Belgium to retire B-Hunter UAV's

Post by nils »

as of September 1st, the Belgian Armed Forces will retire its fleet of B-Hunter UAV's.
as announced earlier, its retirement date of Januari 1st was brought foward early to enable crews to convert to the newer MQ-9B Sky Guardian UAS, a contract with the US for 4 of these MALE drones and 2 ground stations was signed earlier this week, aswell as close colaboration with the Royal Air Force in jointly operating the type.

the Belgian MQ-9B are expected to be delivered by march 2024
