With 8 not flown in 2020 you could argue 50 operational left of which only 42 remain in the Netherlands. :wink:

The J-879 just flown for the first time this year from Charleroi als ‘COBRA01’ to Volkel acc to ads-b. Was in maintenance at SABCA.

Not to Volkel.
It went for a FCF, FL400 for ahigh speed run (through sound barrier) and now flying to Leeuwarden

June 2020 was a month with little change to the fleet.

J-879 returned to active duty after maintenance in Charleroi, all 322sq aircraft have now flown in 2020. The J-135 of 322sq got 315sq stickers applied as the last action of a retiring crewchief.

July 2020 was a month with quite some changes. Most prominent was the withdrawal from use of the J-001. Apparently it was decided to not bring this one back to service as it was last flown in 2019.

This leaves an active fleet of 57 airframes with 3 not flown yet in 2020. This is less than the budgetted amount of 61 airframes for 2020.

The J-135 lost it's 315sq stickers and the J-020 and J-631 returned from maintenance and were flown for the first time in 2020.

Another F-16 was withdrawn from use this month, the J-631 was flown from Leeuwarden to Volkel for storage.

The J-014 came back from a paintjob in Portugal without squadron markings while the J-512 flew for the first time this year when it returned from maintenance in Belgium.

This leaves an active fleet of 56 airframes with 2 not flown yet in 2020.

So 45 in The Netherlands of which 44 have flown in 2020. Numbers are dwindling. :(

Some additional updates:
J-008 returned to Volkel from maintenance at Woensdrecht on 17-9-2020 and the J-366 was confirmed flying in 2020.

This leaves an active fleet of 55 airframes with 1 not flown yet in 2020 (the J-062 which is still in maintenance in Woensdrecht and hasn't flown since 2015).

F-16AM J-135 van 322 TACTESS startte op wo. 7 oktober om 8.53 uur van Leeuwarden om een half uur later op Volkel te landen. Dit lijkt een laatste vlucht te zijn geweest, aangezien deze kist op het lijstje staat van F-16's die in 2020 buiten dienst zouden worden gesteld. Dus nu nog 54 kisten over? Wellicht kan iemand op Volkel dit bevestigen?

Kist staat nog gepland om QRA te doen dit jaar. Mogelijk dat deze dan dus nog het luchtruim ziet. Tot die tijd inderdaad geen vluchten meer, en ook daarna zal het zo goed als afgelopen zijn voor dit airframe.
