Forum rules
ImageThis is the forum to share your recent aviation photos with the rest of the community, being photos not older than six months at the moment of topic opening. Theme-based topics, not about recent events, should go into the sub-forum.
Although we will not screen beforehand, we reserve the right to delete any images, especially if clearly unsharp or otherwise low in quality. For more information on how to upload you images, check this post.
In topic titles, please use airfield names in stead of just codes, and be clear about what kind of photos your viewers can expect (e.g. CIV/MIL, location etc.).

Finally, bring any photo criticism understandable and to the point, not cynical or offensive! Simultaneously, do not feel offended by criticism per se, but simply explain your motives, taste et cetera, or ignore if you wish so.

Miami-International 23-02-2020

Post by LifelinerOne »

The next day, Sunday, I started at the spotting spot called "the holes" at 25th St. From this location you can monitor all action on runways 08L/R and 12. Runway 12 is rarely used for take-offs, mainly for landings. The northern side of the airport is also where UPS and FedEx have their facilities. The location is called "the holes" as there are a few holes in the fence, making photography easier. However, there is quite some construction going on, and during my visit there was a lot of construction stuff on the apron, preventing clear pictures. Luckily the roof of my rented Jeep Wrangler enabled me to photograph...

I arrived at the spot early in the morning for a few hours, before touring other airports, which I will cover in seperate topics later.

1. FedEx B767-300F N123FE is seen here ready for take-off from runway 08L:

2. This UPS B757-200F N452UP is looking a little weathered:

3. UPS B767-300F N382UP is also ready to go from runway 08L:

4. Cargo company IFL Group is also present on the northern ramp with their beautiful Convairs:

5. Just like Ethopian, Turkish is also deploying their B777F, like this TC-LJN, to Miami:

10. A little heatwaves, but how often can you photograph a Cessna 680 from the Dominican Republic, like this HI1065:

11. World Atlantic Airlines is a Florida-based carrier, mainly flying to destinations in the Caribbean. Here's MD-83 N805WA taxiing to runway 08R:

12. Bringing tourists from cold Canada to warmer Florida is this Sunwing B737-800 C-GOWG:

13. Amerijet also have their facilities at the Northern part of the airport, so they will normally use the Northern runways. Here's B767-300F N378CX lined-up for departure on runway 08L:
